Session Three

Guess what? A new player!!

Meet Fendir (Player: Grey), a wood elf, who... umm... actually, I'm not sure what the deal with him is. I'm confident that Grey has a backstory or something in mind that he hopefully reveals during the campaign, but I have nothing really right now. All we know is that his tribe of wood elves were slaughtered by orcs and he travelled to Delos Garra to find those who killed his kin. I will say that Fendir is only 4'11", while Grey is over 6 feet tall. Come on, this is hilarious!

So, Delos Garra: Capital of Ruviere. What could possibly go wrong? One word: marketplace.

It was meant to be a simple meet-up so the three would become one party, but part of me knew there was no chance in hell that this was gonna happen. Remember how upset Jaman and Chuddwick were with their lack of wealth? Well, they decide to intimidate a poor shopkeeper into giving them free supplies. I ought to point our that Jaman is NE and Chuddwick is N. The fun part? Fendir is CG. So, Fendir witnesses this and decides it's his moral duty to stand up to these guys. Long story short (which involves Jaman disguising as a pile of dirt), Chuddwick knocks him out. Yeah.

The (very brief) skirmish causes people to panic and run, leaving the marketplace deserted. Jaman and Chuddwick could have made a quick getaway and that would be that. But their poverty influenced them otherwise. They proceed to attempt to rob as many shops as they could. Then, the guards arrive and Jaman hides. I was so sure that Chuddwick would be apprehended to battery and theft, but the dice said otherwise. Fendir was taken to the elf embassy to recover and Jaman and Chuddwick leave scot-free. Not what I expected.

Eventually Fendir came back to them (they were taking refuge at the temple to Saint Cuthbert) and joined their party, but not without blood boiling. You see, as a Ranger, Fendir has a preferred enemy. His? Orcs. I'm sure he and Chuddwick will be the best of friends!
