Session One

Our campaign started with two characters:

First, Jaman (Player: Matt), a lizardfolk duneswift pirate slave selectively-homosexual guy. Now, I gotta hand it to Matt, great job on the backstory. Pretty much, Jaman lived in the desert until he was sold into slavery onto a pirate ship. There, he fell in love with his master Alphonse, the only guy he would be gay for. Long story short: Ship is decimated and Alphonse dies. To survive, Jaman decided to sell his soul to Nerull, god of death, murder, the underworld, etc. Now his body his covered in tattoos and Jaman is a soulless wreck. Now, he wants to find the entrance to the underworld and challenge Nerull (somehow) to get his soul back.

Then there's Chuddwick (Player: Keith), an orcish prince. This guy is basically the rebellious son that no parent really wants, especially if that parent happens to be a power-hungry orcish king. Chuddwick took up the guitar and became a bard (specialty in metal), much to the anger of his royal family. His guitar was destroyed and he left the orcs, now an enemy of his own people. Really interested to see how we can play out this backstory.

So Jaman and Chuddwick meet one another in the port town of Ferrias. Jaman found Chuddwick running from some orcs, so they enter the temple to Pelor for safety. There, things got... interesting. They basically set one room completely on fire, find a secret alter to Vecna, and steal some priestly robes. They manage to defeat the orcs, but at the cost of angering Pelor. You know, the most worshiped god in D&D. No big deal right? Trust me, this won't be forgotten.
